I did Jane Eyre for one of the English Lit exams, (can't remember which one!)and the hero had a very dark secret indeed ...

Have given into Christmas cheer and had a piping hot mince pie with clotted cateream at Chesapeake Mill in Wickham. Trout in the stream, tons of antiques and sweet, warm pastry. Although keeping my holiday spirits up is a bit of a challenge; this morning's temperature was 0 degrees (F). I don't mind the snow - it's festive. It's the bitter cold that seems to sap my good cheer.

I finished my Christmas gift shopping this morning. My father is no longer able to drive, so I stopped by my parents' home and picked up mom. We finished our shopping together. It was great fun and I felt like a kid again.

My parents' home will be filled with family and the laughter of young children on Christmas Eve. I'm looking forward to it as I did when I was much younger. That - to me - is the magic of Christmas.Dannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7625290842452474467.post-85434969510356932682010-12-15T15:38:48.761+00:002010-12-15T15:38:48.761+00:00Gorgeous cover Sharon!
