If anyone tells you that Leonard Cohen is....

depressing - then they are wrong, wrong WRONG!

The man is a Sex-God.
Who moves with sinous grace.
A dynamo.
A poet.
Aged 74 (yes, really)
(Hope for us all....)
And here I am pictured at his recent concert at Brooklands, Weybridge.
Did it rain?  Incessantly.
Did anyone care?  I honestly don't think anyone noticed.

FORMIDABLE GREEKS ARE EASIER TO HANDLE THAN.....

downloading pictures from site-to-site - which feels a bit like learning to ride a bike, only without any bruises or grazes to the knees.  Thank heavens for the helpful men in the Mac computer store in Southampton (my new favourite destination).

Below you'll see the English cover for CONSTANTINE'S DEFIANT MISTRESS, which was published in the UK in June, 09 and is to be released in the US in October, 09.  I'm rather pleased with the heroine's dress which is exactly as I imagined it to be.

The story is about the Constantine Karantinos and Laura, the woman whose life he once sailed into - and just as quickly sailed out of again.   He's outrageously masterful and utterly confident - the kind of man who makes your skin sizzle just by looking at you.  In fact, the best way I can describe the indomitable shipping tycoon is through the Laura's eyes:

He towered over all the other men like a colossus - making everyone else fade into insignificance.  The day she had first met set eyes on him would be imprinted on her mind for ever; he had looked like a Greek god - his powerful body silhouetted against the dying sun, his dark and golden beauty suggesting both vigour and danger....

Blooming tree in sweet DC

Oddly enough, it wasn't the mighty museums which captured my imagination during a recent trip to America's capital city.  Nor was Georgetown, the statuesque cathedral or iconic Mall.

It was the trees.  Beautiful, flowering shapes which lined the streets and studded them with colour.  Or color (as they say over there).

WHERE AM I HEADING?

Well, here's a teensy clue.....

Off to the Romance Writer's Of America's annual conference.  In Washington!  Zillions of romance writers - an undiscovered city (for me) and parties galore.  Can't wait.

MAGNIFICENT SNOWDONIA

This is me atop the magnificent mountain of Snowdonia.....
Yes, I know - it's not the most glamourous of outfits and my choice of shoes certainly isn't going to give Jimmy Choo any sleepless nights, but....
Oh.
What.
A.
View.
I am not going to attempt to describe it's majesty (is that "good", I hear you say?) but just to urge you to go there if you have the chance.   Or make it happen.  I stayed in the most amazing place - a huge and comfortable house overlooking lake Bala which offers the softest beds and most ambrosial breakfasts in the world.  Okay, I must declare an interest here - it happens to be run by my great friend Katrina le Saux - but don't let that put you off!  Visit it on: http://www.bryniau-golau.co.uk/
And be inspired....

AT LAST....ANOTHER UPDATE

Have just arrived back from Italy, where I was tutoring a week's course on How To (Write A Mills & Boon, of course!). It was wonderful. Bliss. Plus any other amount of superlatives. Eleven amazingly talented and focussed women who will (I believe) soon be besieging M&B with a batch of unputdownable novels.
Gosh - have even just managed to download a photo of me with my son! (Hope he doesn't mind - can you send me one of you pronto please, Celia?!)
Being back in England is always slightly disorientating after a sojourn in remotest Italy - made even more so by the mayhem which is currently playing out in Parliament....what a shambles.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY NEW WEBSITE

Designed by the astonishingly-talented Ashley of Kismet Designs.
Although she set up this blogging facility, which even I have been able to work out - I probably shan't be "bloggin'" (sounds like one of those dances which anyone over the age of 20 would be ill-advised to participate in) - mainly because my editor is worried that I shan't write any books. Though OBVIOUSLY if there is any exciting news to impart ("Stop-Press: Harlequin novelist short-listed for Pulitzer Prize!") - then I shall write it here.
Well, that's it, really.
How DO you end one of these things?
Yours ever (too fey)
Best wishes (too Christmas-card-y)
With love (Nooooooooo!)
Byeeeee!
