I love the picture of the lake. While not the same thing, it reminded me of a trip I made in my 20s (I remember them fondly, lol). I had the pleasure of making a cross country trip with a friend just discharged out of the Navy. That trip saw us through the California sun, the heat of the Las Vegas and Arizona desert, and even the splendor of Niagara Falls. I got to spend my birthday on that trip with a horse and carriage ride in Chicago.
